Compass recently achieved a major milestone, providing its 1 millionth health navigation solution. To celebrate, we’re sharing some of our favorite stories that show how Compass has touched the lives of our members. Today’s blog is the first in this series.
According to 29-year-old Jessica Marsh, who works for McCoy-Rockford, a leading dealer of commercial office furniture and interiors, Compass not only helped her save money, it gave her peace of mind when she was dealing with a major medical issue.
Last May, Jessica’s primary care physician discovered blood in her urine and ordered her to have a CT scan. She contacted her Compass Health Pro, Jeremy Key, who helped her navigate through this stressful situation. Jeremy helped her find a high-quality, cost-effective imaging center for the diagnostic CT scan, helping her save $900. He was also able to provide pricing information for Jessica’s needed surgery – allowing her to focus on her health, without the distractions the healthcare industry presents.
According to Jessica, “Having a serious illness and having to go to doctor’s appointment after appointment, test after test, and medication after medication is… well there aren’t words to describe the anxiety I feel. It’s been overwhelming, morale crushing, and just plain terrifying… between missing work and figuring out how to pay for the surgery, CT scans, medication and simply locating a specialist.”
